Settling the Past was a complete delight. I thoroughly enjoyed the pace of this novel, keeping me immensely engaged and I look forward to reading more from the author, Fran Steinmark.
An intimate account of dealing with a tragedy in the present and the impact of the past. The principal character is well developed in the excellent and insightful writing. The relationship between her and her spouse has the texture of reality. A good read.

This is a book you need to read if you have ever wondered what makes you who you are. You can relate to the characters and the story line, it is very well written and easy to follow. I laughed and I cried. It is a story of loss and family dynamics. You get drawn into the intricacies of past life regressions experienced by the main character Shayna, who is searching for answers, reasons and solutions, that sent her world into a spin.
I highly recommend this book, it's a great read!

this is a story of a woman's past life intersecting with her present life dealing and coming to grips with the death of her son. it's the story of a marriage and a family that goes through an atrocity and comes out the other side. it is written simply and at times it is heart-wrenching.
