I am near the Rogue Warriors age, so I enjoy his NON PC attitude and his EEO viewpoint, just like me, he treats everyone the same, (all together now, gentle readers)JUST.LIKE.S***! LOL Then, when you get through reading these books, go out and cut some cocktail breaths throats. Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out, just like sea daddy Roy Boehm tells you/us. Each of these books stand on their on, it is not really a series. The events could happen and accurate in how they would be dealt with. His books are always interesting.

If you like Military Action books, if you also like WEB Griffin novels, then you will like Richard Marcinko.. HE IS THE REAL DEAL, AND IT SHOWS IN HIS WRITING AND STORY BEING TOLD. Man knows his firearms, and how they work, and his action sequences are the REAL DEAL,, you will have no doubt, this American Patriot, has
'Been There and Done That'. Not politically correct, he did not VOTE for Billy Clinton either; and anyone reading this should already know that,, IF NOT,, buy a different book.
On the Plus Side Much of the writing is in complete sentences; there are complete sentences that do not include profanity; and there are whole pages where we are spared the author's way-predictable political insights. Oh, and the good guys win, and there aren't any female characters to make the he-men uncomfortable. On the Minus Side, Marcinko's disdain for the reader makes this a tough go. How many times do YOU want to be told to read the f'ing Glossary? How many references to "Editors" does it take to force us to remember that this is either a) complete fiction, or b) far enough in the past that it might as well be fiction? Sorry, I won't be reading any more of this author's work.
I have always been a big fan of Richard Marcinko. In fact, I own every one of his books, including his rise through the Navy ranks and his dealings with the Navy bureaucracy in his book "RED CELL," his actual exploits and non-fictional accounts of missions in which these SpecOps warriors participated, in his book "The Real Team Rogue Warrior," as well as his leadership books showing tactics that can be applied to the business world. But my favorite books are the Rogue Warrior series (of which I own all of them). There is nothing politically correct about his writing, but the action, humor and his keen insight even in his fictional work makes him #1 in my book. I'm woman, I'm not the least offeded by the raw language and I'm a fan. Richard Marcinko is the epitome of what a real man is suppose to be. Many of the men in my family have served all sectors of the military, but my favorite stories are from those that served in the Navy. In a world that lacks heroes, I can honestly say that for me, Richard Marcinko is my hero. As long as he keeps writing his books, I will keep buying them. The book "Option Delta" keeps up the standards of his other books and I would highly recommend it for some fun, humor, fast-paced action and finally winning over the enemy with a little revenge slinged right back at the bad guys, reading. The book is a winner and I'm looking forward to his next one.
